The London Metropolitan Archives (LMA) collection on Ancestry.co.uk includes over 20 million London Parish records consisting of Baptisms, Marriages and Burials from the original Church of England registers and Bishops' Transcripts that have been deposited at the archive. This amazing series of records date back to 1538 and is fully searchable by individuals name. Other records currently available within the collection are Non Conformist chapel and congregation registers and London Poor Law records such as workhouse admission and discharge registers. Further series to follow, will include Electoral Registers, City of London Freedom papers, LCC school admission and discharge registers, Land Tax, Marriage Bonds and Allegation and Wills.
