UK, Medical and Dental Students Registers, 1882-1937

These Registers were compiled by the General Medical Council and records all students of Medicine and Dentistry studying in the United Kingdom and Ireland for the years 1882 to 1937.

The registers are organised by year and record the names of the students, as well as the place and date of their preliminary examination to enter medical school, the date of registration for study and the place and date of commencement for their professional training. Some registers comprise only medical students and others include both medical and dental students within the same volume.
