Selkirk Town:

Selkirk Town, located northeast of Winnipeg, was named after the fifth Earl of Selkirk, Thomas Douglas, who had established the Red River Settlement in 1812. In 1891, approximately one-fifth of the residents of Selkirk Town were immigrants from Iceland, but most of the population was born in Manitoba. This database contains more than 900 entries of residents from Selkirk Town in the census year 1891.

Springfield:

By 1901, this subdistrict was within the census district of Selkirk. This database contains more than 1,100 entries of residents from Saint Francois Xavier in the census year 1891.
