Details include names and dates of consecration, admission, preferment, and removal or death of archbishops, bishops, deans, precentors, treasurers, chancellors, and archdeacons.

John Le Neve first published Fasti Ecclesiae Anglicanaein 1716, and in 1854, Sir Thomas Duffus Hardy expanded the original work, bringing the total entries to 30,000.
