This data collection contains marriage records and marriage banns dating from 1754-1921 from more than 10,000 Church of England parish registers (including Bishop’s Transcripts) from parishes in the greater London area. They are taken from registers held at London Metropolitan Archives as well as those formerly at Guildhall Manuscripts Section. Please note that some marriages between 1754 and 1812 will also be found in the data collection London England Baptisms, Marriages and Burials 1538-1812.

This data collection consists of baptism records from over 10,000 Church of England parish registers (including Bishop’s Transcripts) in the Greater London area. These are taken from the registers held at London Metropolitan Archives as well as those formerly at Guildhall Manuscripts Section. It also includes registers of births and baptisms that occurred in workhouses operated by the Boards of Guardians. The parish registers cover the years 1813-1906 whilst the Board of Guardian records cover the years 1834-1906.

Please note that some marriages will be found in this data collection after 1753 as not all churches started recording marriages in separate registers from this date.

These are taken from the registers held at London Metropolitan Archives as well as those formerly at Guildhall Manuscripts Section. It also includes registers of deaths and burials that occurred in workhouses operated by the Boards of Guardians. The parish registers cover the years 1813-1980 whilst the Board of Guardian records cover the years 1834-1906.
